The Empire of Prigdenia was around for thousands of years, ruled by Prigden and his entourage of vampire lords. At the northern most point of the ashlands, the land takes its name for the death that was inflicted upon it by Prigden. He harnessed the life of the land and left it barren with clouds permanently darkening the skies. Prigdenia technically lays claim to the ashlands as well, however when people refer to Prigdenia, they mean the massive city of black stone pyramids. Prigdenia owned thousands of slaves, using them to serve the vampire hierarchy. The empire was eventually brought down by a slave revolt where Thrydd took Prigden's sword and trapped his soul inside of it. With their emperor gone, the vampire lords either fled Prigdenia or rested to wait for the return of their lord.

Since 779 YSK, Prigdenia has been labeled "The Prigdenian Complex", as it now serves as a massive prison complex for criminals. Since its creation, the prison population has grown at an unprecedented rate.
