Nelroth

Nelroth is the god of slaughter. Obsessed with blood, Nelroth is perhaps the most fierce warrior of the Eleven Eternal. His devout routinely offer him blood sacrifice, and it was under his direction that the first blood magic came to Arnessia. Spellcasters can eschew spell components to perform magic, though this practice is forbidden in all places (except Suldon, an ancient city in Guulrath). This act is frequently done to summon demons from Infandus in the world.

Nelroth is said to have created the demons from the corpses of the devils Fangor sent upon him, giving them his blood and fiendish nature. Those who serve him must appease him with blood sacrifice, nothing else can sate his appetite. Because of his role god of slaughter, he is frequently paid tributes by butchers and even sometimes chefs, especially on Merendagros. Some extremely superstitious peoples will sometimes slaughter a fatted calf in hope of a large flock will grow from mating season. He is fiercely proud of his son Gron, a savage warrior like himself, the god of Orcs.
