The goddess of wisdom, many religious scholars believe that Zanna was the first of the Eleven Eternal (though this is largely disputed by the dragonpriests of Xyn). Zanna is gifted with something called simply "the sight" or "the eyes of Zanna", through which she can see the full breadth of time. Many practitioners of divination worship Zanna and give thanks whenever they are granted a vision from her. Zanna gave the sight to Aurelia and Voxos. There are some who refer to her gift of the sight to Voxos as "Zanna's Regret" or "Zanna's Folly".

Zanna spends much of her time in the heavenly pools in the forests of Celestia. Through those magic waters, she watches all that would come to pass. Zanna is said to have secluded herself from the other Eternals, though she is visited frequently by her daughter Vorelisk and her son Stigg. Still, from time to time she is visited upon by the other gods for advice, though she is said to frequently speak in riddles and metaphor.

Emblems and holy symbols of Ezra depict an amethyst eye.
