The Staff of Xyn

The Staff of Xyn is a powerful magical artifact created by Xyn himself, said to be the key to keeping the children on the wall. The staff draws upon the souls of all dragons for its immense power. The staff itself is made of three parts, three dragon rods styled in the likeness of the daughters of Xyn.

The various powers of the rods are activated using draconic words of power.

Rod of the Yellow Dragon

• Caex - As a free action (at will), the rod will function as a +2 longsword (or Caexes to make it double-sided)
• Yrevdarastrix - Once per day, for one minute, the rod can function as a vorpal greatsword
• Thraxen - Once per week, the rod can emit a fifty foot cone of white fire, dealing 10d10 damage, dexterity saving throw 16.
• Thurirlmajak - Once per month, the heir of the line of Ardis can be called upon to perform a favor. Be warned; dragons always demand a durah (payment).
• Dratuor - Once per year, cast limited wish.

Rod of the Radiant Dragon

• Raex - At will, this rod turns into a +1 Radiant Composite Longbow with Bane Undead.
• Draxenvil - Once per day, for one minute the rod becomes a +2 greataxe with its critical range doubled and 1d6 of radiant damage.
• Thu'um - Once per week, the rod emits a 120 ft. line of dark blue lightning that deals 12d6 damage, dexterity saving throw 16.
• Vorelinxys - Once per month, the heir of the line of Vorelisk can be called upon for a favor.
• Davarian - Once per year, cast limited wish.

Rod of the Shadow Dragon

• Yaex - At will, the rod will function as a +2 rapier.
• Duranastrix - Once per day, for one minute the rod becomes a +3 heavy crossbow with 1d6 necrotic damage.
• Xarnatus - Once per week, the rod can emit a 60 ft. cylinder of necrotic energy dealing 8d12 damage.
• Variixys - Once per month, the heir of the line of Xarnath can be called upon for a favor.
• Dremnyx - Once per year, cast limited wish.

Staff Capabilities

When the staff is complete, the wielder can cast wish once per day. Special conditions to that wish can include:

• Destroying the material plane
• Destroying the staff itself
• Slay all dragons
